I didn’t expect to feel super emotional while reading this tonight. This struck a cord. I know the shallow breathing all too well while “nothing is wrong.” I’m in my own personal process of not stressing about coming off as perfect to others. I do wear many hats for situations where I’m afraid to come off as anything less than-out of fear of how it will be perceived. It’s truly a tough thing to rewire my brain for. But it is necessary. I really appreciate these gratitude prompts. This was a great read. Eye opening.
Rewiring takes time and repetition, be proud of yourself for putting in the work! Even when the shifts are harder to see in yourself, they're still happening. <3
This is such a fantastic article and it really hits home for me. A well respected colleague once wrote in a work thread, "I don't move at the speed of chaos" and that has always stuck with me. As I read this article that statement suddenly makes so much more sense. I often move through the day at pace dictated by the crisis of the moment, which doesn't leave space for acknowledging the emotional weight. Thank you for lifting this up!
Really grateful that I could come back and listen to this. It’s been a tough week as a leader and I made the commitment to myself earlier today to come back and relisten to center myself before going into the last two days of this tough week. 💖
Thank you for this insight. Perfect timing for me to read this, and likely need to reread next week, and the following... a lesson that's ever present and evolving with life's many roles.

Love this John, thanks for sharing! Adding that one to my personal mantras - “I don’t move at the speed of chaos” 💫

Hope it gives you some well deserved buoyancy as you navigate the week, you’ve got this!

“ever presenting and evolving” so true, love that Lindsey 🤍
